An exceptional school in Doha are looking to recruit an Admissions Assistant for February/June 2025 start.

Reporting to: The Registrar
Responsible for: The provision of an efficient and effective admissions service ensuring a seamless and professional experience for prospective parents and visitors.

  • This is a full-time position and the postholder is entitled to 25 days paid leave per year.
    The postholder will be located at the Prep School and the working hours are Sunday to Wednesday 7.00am-3.00pm and Thursday 7.00am-2.00pm during term time.
  • Out of term time, the role may be located in the Central Office at the Senior School.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
• Act as first point of contact for Admissions enquiries, by phone, in person and on email.
• Coordinate the Admissions process from the initial enquiry through to enrolment, collaborating with other key parties as required.
• Ensure the effective follow up of all enquiries, visits, registrations and offers.
• Ensure the accurate maintenance of pupil records in the school’s management information system – iSAMS.
• Follow up with parents and schools regarding missing documentation for Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) registration.
• Update pupil data on the MOEHE system (NSIS).
• Be responsible for the planning of Admissions interviews and testing of applicants both on site and overseas.
• Provide administrative assistance to Academic Heads and the Registrar as required.
• Work collaboratively with the administration team to ensure the smooth running and processing of school tours.
• Provide reception cover as and when required.

• Professional and courteous attitude especially under pressure with deadlines and conflicting interests.
• Efficient and highly organised work practices and an eye for detail.
• High level of computer literacy and confidence in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate the School Management System (iSAMS) (training will be provided).
• A confident and professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
• A fully supportive, proactive and integrated team player.

Desirable Qualification, Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent standard in written and spoken English is essential.
  • An understanding of the Arabic language is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
  • Previous experience of working with the MOEHE.
