Paul graduated from Sheffield University with a degree in Chemistry, he completed his PGCE at Newcastle University and he has completed several post-graduate courses at Newcastle and Cambridge University.
Paul graduated from Sheffield University with a degree in Chemistry, he completed his PGCE at Newcastle University and he has completed several post-graduate courses at Newcastle and Cambridge University. Paul has 20 years teaching and school leadership experience in the UK and he also worked in India for four years. As a classroom teacher he taught GCSE and A Level Chemistry, his leadership roles include Head of Department, Assistant Head, Headteacher and Executive Headteacher. Paul has spent 15 years working as a leader in Ofsted Outstanding schools.
As a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) Paul worked with many schools to support school improvement, this involved coaching and mentoring school leaders. In his role as a Lead Practitioner he designed and delivered training courses for school leaders. Working as a national trainer for AQA Paul designed and delivered training courses on how to teach outstanding lessons.
During his twelve years as a Senior Assessor for OCR and AQA Paul developed considerable expertise in assessment and completed a post-graduate course on the Principles and Practice of Assessment at Cambridge University. Paul has also completed the NPQSL and NPQH qualifications and he is now a facilitator and assessor for the UK NPQ programmes.
In his role as an accredited Cambridge Programme Leader, Paul designs and delivers Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications in both Teaching and Learning and in Educational Leadership.
