Imposter syndrome: What is Imposter Syndrome? Why do so many leaders suffer from this? Strategies to overcome this and developing confidence in others of your leadership competence.
Knowledge: Understanding the key elements of leadership and how secure knowledge of what leadership is strengthens others’ perspective of your skills.
Session 3: Making your Mark as a leader
Types of Leaders: Exploring types of leaders – Daniel Goleman and Ben Laker’s models of leaders.
Emotional Intelligence: What is emotional intelligence and why is it a vital ingredient of an effective leader?
Session 4: Getting your Team Onboard
Fundamentals of Coaching: Understanding the key elements of coaching and exploring effective strategies to motivate and skill your team.
Challenging conversations: Holding your team to account and managing them effectively. Why are difficult conversations so hard, particularly when you’re moving up internally?
Session 5: Implementing Change
Change Models: An exploration of a range of tried and tested change models and how to implement them in your school.
Motivating others: Identifying strategies to motivate your team to support your change project.
Session 6: Ambitious Leadership
Developing Self: Importance of self-awareness as a leader and identifying own strengths and areas for development.
Reflective Leader: Self audit using a 360 model. Using this to plan own further development as a leader. Looking at Next Steps.
